How to Conduct the Wind Symphony

🖱️ Trackpad & Mouse Gestures

  • Glide / Move: Stirs ambient leaves and plays gentle notes based on vertical height.
  • Click & Drag: Sculpts a foreground wind stream with rich expressive dynamics.
  • Swirl in Circles: Creates a swirling vortex that triggers cascading arpeggios and swells the Humming Chorus.
  • Quick Flick: Launches fast fluttering leaves that cascade through the scale.
  • Hold Shift + Drag (or toggle L): Pins a glowing Wind Ribbon Loop in the sky. Virtual leaves will continuously fly along your drawn path and replay your phrase!
  • 🎶 Autonomous Leaf Music (G): Even when your hands are completely off the trackpad or screen, leaves flying separately or in flocks pluck the sky's harmonic strings as they rise, dip, and swirl through space and time.
  • ✨ Leaf Ecology & Duets (E): When ON, leaves of the same species flock together, while leaves of different instruments that swirl close in mid-air connect with a glowing harmonic thread and sing a 3rd/5th duet! Turn OFF for pure solo control.

⌨️ Keyboard Activations

  • 1 – 6: Switch leaf species & instrument (Harp, Strings, Flute, Felt Piano, Humming Chorus, Grand Piano).
  • A S D F G H J K: Trigger instant scale notes and spawn colored leaves at that pitch height.
  • Z X V B: Toggle deep orchestral & choral bass drones (Chords I, IV, vi, V) to anchor your symphony. (N turns drone off).
  • Spacebar: Summon a full-canvas wind gust that lifts all leaves and creates an orchestral swell.
  • M: Cycle through seasonal scales and harmonic moods.
  • Backspace: Remove the most recent looping wind ribbon.
